In other news, I'm gearing up for the conference and getting my wardrobe organised (including my outfit for the Harlequin Cocktail Party). I'm also working to help the Silver Lunch team with the Ovarian Cancer Foundation fundraiser on Sunday which should be amazing (the prizes are awesome). If you're coming to the conference, please make sure you bring lots of coins so you can buy heaps of raffle tickets. It's for a wonderful cause.

It's amazing when someone spells something out to you in simple terms, and it makes a hell of a lot of sense. I plan on reading the list before each writing session just to remind me of what I need to focus on.

PS:I'm excited, but because I'm not good at fancy dress, my outfit won't be too interesting. Though I was thinking I could get a Marilyn Monroes costume and wear that! The sexiest woman who ever walked the planet fantasy!

EK, I'm so pleased you're coming to the dinner. I'll be emailing the final details on Monday once I visit the venue next week. Just need to make sure they can cater for all our requirements (didn't realise how hard it would be to find something to suit 30-40 writers, some with special dietary requirements).

Oh, Kez, I saw your wonderful news! CONGRATULATIONS! You must be so excited (I expect you'll be floating all over the place at the conference on a high). Can't wait to congratulate you in person.
EK, I should have news about the dinner by this arvo. I'm about to do the school drop off and drive to Coogee. I can guarantee I'll get lost, and it'll take me 2 hours to get there! :-)
