Well, I went on holidays and in the chaos of packing I forgot *gasp* to bring a book with me to read. That's almost (but not quite... well, not really!) a cardinal sin, but it was enough to make me panic and freak out a little when I arrived at our holiday destination.
By chance I found a second hand book store (I don't have one anywhere near my home, so it's been a while since I've been inside one) and I went completely mental buying a range of books to keep me occupied during the holiday. I left with enough books to last me the rest of the year (along with the ninety or so brand new books I have in my current TBR pile) so I'll be very busy this year. Oh, and I forgot I eBayed some other books which arrived whilst I was away. Yikes.
Anyway, the following are some panorama pics I took whilst I was on holiday. There's a gorgeous beach photo (we have the most stunning beaches in Oz, don't we?), as well as pics from the Hunter Valley Gardens which we visited on our way back home. I found myself very inspired - I must admit a few story ideas began to flow when I wandered around the various themed gardens. A lovely place to visit, if you get the chance.

Have a great week,
:-) Mon

Mon, no books! *gasp* Mind you, I always pack books, and then find I never have time to read them anyway, lol.
9o books! That's amazing.
Mon,
That's what second hand-bookshops do - they lure you in and then you spend a fortune. Tell us what you bought.
It looks like you had a great time.

Oh what stunning pictures Mon.
I'm with you on the current TBR pile being an absolute monster & I still get books I want to read from the library...otherwise I'd be completely penniless.
Hey AJ, I know. It's an addiction! Usually I don't get a chance to read much while I'm away, but I need a book (like a kid needs a comfort toy!).
Jenn, I’m opening my own library. Or maybe ‘Mon’s Book Exchange and Coffee Shop’. How does that sounds?!
Shayne, I haven’t been to one for so long, I forgot how much fun they were (or how expensive the experience can get). I bought a few Kathy Reichs books (the woman who created Tempe Brennan on the TV show Bones), as well as books by Anna Jacobs, Johanna Lyndsey, Kathleen Woodiwiss, Judith McNaught, Amanda Quick, Diana Gabaldon, Debbie Macomber, a number of Intrigues as well as quite a few other Harlequin books from other lines… Nuts!
EK, I’m not near a library (I have to drive to get to my nearest one which isn’t a very big one) so I tend to buy books on special from department stores. Big W is great because they always sell the Harlequins at a reasonable price. I wish I could borrow books more often!
