Wiggly good time. Why was I reminded of Star Trek?

Yesterday my hubby and I took the kids to see the Wiggles at a community club. Apart from the parents who felt it was okay to stomp on us to get a great seat/spot (people go nuts when it's 'first in best dressed'), we had a fantastic time. Oh, and the kids did as well!

Whilst I was watching the show, I thought the Wiggly boys were looking a little Star Trek. The skivvies were tighter with these strip things on the arms - very 'beam me up, Scotty', in my opinion. I've seen the Wiggles perform about half a dozen times, and this is the first time I've ever noticed this. See what I mean?

Mon,
The Wiggles come out looking second-best. The Star Trek team's tops are a nice tight fit and I like the satin-sheen effect!

Possibly The Wiggles tops are tighter now because they are all middle-aged men who've lived the high life for at least a decade!

I interviewed Anthony and Geoff many years ago when I was at Parents magazine. They used to play all the mother and baby expos. My eldest is now 18 and I took her to see them at Featherdale wildlife park when she was about four. Happy (younger) days.

I would have cracked on to ALL The Wiggles had I been able to predict the future!

Lol Shayne. How cool is it that you got to interview them?

You know, I think Sam is turning into Greg - Sam used to be quite slim, but he looks like he's built like Greg now (must be the yellow shirt).

I used to work in Rozelle about 1996 or so, and was stuck in a bank queue behind Anthony. He was trying to impress some girl, chatting to her about this 'Big Red Car' and all the plans the Wiggles had for America. I knew who he was only because he'd been mentioned as a Cleo bachelor or something, but he seemed a bit of a big kid to me.

Maybe I should have pushed the chick out of the way and had a go myself?! Lol. Nah, he isn't my type, but good luck to him and the boys. They work hard, and deserve their success.

I thought 20 kids at Hungry Jacks for Master 5's birthday party was full on - can't imagine the screaming at the Wiggles.

LOL - re the Star Trek shirts - you've only probably noticed because the new movie is coming out. :)

Eleni,

The kids did scream and carry on, but the problem was the parents (my goodness, some people will do anything to get their kids a good spot!).

And the Star Trek boys look pretty good. The guy who plays Capt Kirk is rather delish. I may just have to go to the movies and watch it (after I watch Wolverine, of course!).

Yeah, I can see that - people who just stampede with no concern for other people's kids. Just chill folks.

And the count down for Wolverine is on....

Yep, it's a world filled with crazy parents, Eleni! Lol.

I'm counting down... well, not really, but I'm sure I could easily persuade hubby to see Wolverine. I feel a 'date night' coming on!!
